Our team

Three partners.One team.

A close-knit partnership of advisors shaped by diverse paths in global finance, institutional investing, and service-driven leadership. While our backgrounds differ, we share a common belief in disciplined investing, clear communication, and putting clients first.

Gary Brittain

Gary Brittain

Partner · Chief Compliance Officer

With nearly two decades of experience, Gary has advised hundreds of investors through every kind of market environment. His approach is built around disciplined, long-term strategies and steady decision making, the kind that compounds quietly over decades and helps families avoid the emotional mistakes that derail otherwise sound plans.

Raised in Houston and partly in Chile, Gary prioritizes clear, straightforward communication. A U.S. Army veteran and fluent Spanish speaker, he brings discipline, service, and an appreciation for clarity to every relationship. As Chief Compliance Officer, Gary oversees the firm's adherence to Texas State Securities Board regulations. He holds the Series 65 license.

Joseph Nappi

Joseph Nappi

Partner · Portfolio Manager

Joseph brings a global perspective shaped by sixteen years living between Singapore and Hong Kong. His early career took him to Wall Street as a Risk Manager at Citigroup, where he oversaw risk for some of the world's largest hedge funds. Seeking deeper, more direct client relationships, he relocated to Texas as a Portfolio Manager at Merrill Lynch, helping oversee roughly $2 billion in client assets. In the years since, he has advised families on the full picture of their wealth, from investing and retirement income to the decisions that compound across generations.

Large institutions taught him rigor and process. They also taught him their limitations. At Legacy Folios, Joseph draws on a career that spans global markets, institutional risk, and years of private wealth advisory, channeled into a structure built around doing right by the people we serve. He holds Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 licenses and is insurance-licensed in Texas.

Braiden Simpson

Braiden Simpson

Partner · Chief Operations Officer

A McKinney native, Braiden grew up in the community Legacy Folios is built to serve. After a year volunteering overseas, he returned with a clear sense of purpose and built his expertise from the ground up, starting in insurance and estate planning before moving into investment advisory work, steadily working toward the team-based, fiduciary practice he wanted to help lead.

Braiden combines operational discipline with a genuine curiosity about the people behind the portfolios. He believes the best advice starts with understanding the story behind the numbers, from what a client wants their retirement to feel like to what they want their family to remember about how they handled the wealth they built. As Chief Operations Officer, he keeps the firm running with the precision that lets every client relationship receive full attention. He holds the Series 65 license and is insurance-licensed in Texas.
